I've never seen a single-digit number of recruits in a state before.  All nine of Crum's Nevada recruits must be friends.

Nevada is a pretty big state. Maybe they competed in AAU together though...

(Seriously, have you ever been in northern Nevada? Hours of nothing but highway and mountains and then more highway...)

They're from the Reno/CC "metro" area (4); the Vegas metro area (3); Fallon; and Battle Mountain, which Google tells me is an hour west of Elko along I-94.

to continue needlessly what may be the silliest wis discussion I've had , Reno/CC is quite a ways from Vegas, and Battle Mountain is about an hour west of Elko, but on I-80 (I-94 must have been a brain fart or something - it runs from Michigan to Montana)

I'm all for silliness - yeah, I'm agreeing that they wouldn't actually know each other except for AAU (they're all DI).

I-80, yeah - misread the map and didn't stop to think, wait, I-94 is really, really north of that.
