Redshirting a Sophomore Topic

I just recruited a sophomore transfer student with 94 WE who is good, but would benefit from an extra year's work. Will redshirting him just cause a WE drop, or will he transfer again?

I redshirt sophs all the time. If he doesnt like it, take the RS off and he will go back to normal.

Will he let me know whether or not he wants to transfer? I don't mind his WE dropping, but I want him to stay on the team.

He should only transfer if you made a promise and then redshirt him I think.
