Discounts for multiple teams? Topic

I am more than likely going to go from 4 teams down to 2 because I can't justify spending the amount of money I do on this.  I wonder if WIS could make as much money and have more participation if they offered a discount for each team you have.  For example, 25% off for a second team, 40% for a third, etc.... If it kept profits the same, but increased human coaches I would think that would in turn make this more popular and in the long run actually result in more income for WIS.

as I assume you have seen, they give discounted pricing if you buy multiple seasons

yes, I have seen that.  It is still pretty pricey if you are participating multiple worlds.  It is a great deal if you just have one team.

If your teams make deep runs into the NT you get quite a bit of reward money which can help pay for the other seasons

probably one of the only things that would help bring in more people is word of mouth from users already playing, or an actual advertisement. I've never seen an advertisment for WIS and only found it because someone posted a link in a message board I was reading.

i found out about thru advertising and just heard a commercial on the radio about WIS. i signed up during college bball tourney last year and have been hooked ever since. The radio commercial was about the baseball though so im sure no new hoops dynasty people from it.

Where did you hear it?  I've never seen or heard anything in my 4ish years of playing.  That is good to hear, though.

I first heard about it during the NCAA tourney several years ago. Went to the site and signed up but never got a team. Maybe one or two years go by and it's tourney time again and i see another ad for it. I went back, still had the log in for it and got my team.Been doing it for ten seasons now.

I saw it when I was drafting a fantasy football team on FOX about a year ago. But just like everyone else, I believe FOX is sitting on a gold mine, if they sold it to like ESPN, this site would take off. But if they don't want do that, just advertise more.

I found out on fox or espn(can't remember) and they gave a free promo to play,it was during the college bball tourney last year, that's how I got started. I live in minnesnowta and heard it on local sports station kfan about weeke ago, but like I said in previous post it was for baseball and not hd.

I haven't seen anything since Fox took over, I joined from an ad that was for SimLeague Baseball on MLB.com

I heard radio ads here in Cincinnati.  It was awhile ago, and it was for a couple different products they have.... I think the sim baseball and Hardball dynasty.  It was on the local sports radio station.  As some of you may know, the original developer was from the Cincinnati area... perhaps that is why they did it here.

I'm not really sure if this game is a goldmine.  I have a lot of friends that I have talked to about the game (many who play fantasy football, etc) and I think a lot of people just think it sounds too involved or not their thing.  When you can play fantasy sports for free, I think a lot of folks just don't see the point is paying for something.

That said, I think there are probably still a few thousand folks out there that would really enjoy the game if they heard about it.  I'd be curious to know their demographic... obviously male - but not sure what ages.... probably 25-54 would capture 75% of the users.

I think goldmine is an overstatement, but WIS could increase HD profits by 25%+ with better advertising. I can't speak on potential growth they could see for other games on their site.
