Okay a recruit told me I was backup option. Then he said he wants me to give him a call. I go after him and this is what i get back...

Several coaches have commented on similar situations recently. It appears to be a glitch in the system. I would recommend sending in a ticket to CS just so they hear it again and maybe they will finally do something about it.

what effort did you send him, exactly? you may not want to say during recruiting, which I get. My thinking is that this may not be a true rejection, it doesn't look like a scholarship email either...it may be similar to the messages that are like, its going to take some convincing type phone call messages that really just mean the kid is open to effort but you need to put more in...I'm not sure.

With this message, I think if you send the exact same effort you just sent but wait 1 or 2 cycles, he'll be considering you.
