If you have a very poor offensive team do you run a specific tempo to offset your faulty scoring ability?  My offense is really bad.  I typically shoot around 38% from the field.  Combination of young players and poor IQ.  

Is slow down the better option?  Hope to keep the score down and be more selective in your shots?

Is uptempo better?  Take as many shots as you can hoping that you'll get lucky and by pure shot percentage you will overcome your disadvantage?

If your team sucks at scoring, why would you ever want to increase the tempo of the game and give both teams more scoring opportunities? Slow it down and hope your defense can help you upset some teams.

I recommend running a normal tempo most of the time. But the question is: Is your bench good?  If yes, stick with normal. If your starters are a lot better than your bench, slowdown.

How can it be a "combination of young players and poor IQ?"  Aren't those basically the same thing?  I mean, young players aren't all that well-developed yet, but in general if someone says they are struggling because their team is young they usually seem to mean adequately talented but sub-par in the IQ department...

Sorry, a little grumpy.  Just played a game of FIFA with somebody who was hacking.  It's incredibly frustrating because EA hires virtually no mods, so some guys have been known hackers for literally years and not even had their accounts banned.  If a guy is caught multiple times the IP address should be banned, you'd think an outfit the size of EA could monitor things a little bit...

Young meaning, they have high potential in lots of areas but need time to improve.  Low IQ because they are either freshmen/sophmores or transfers, working with a new offensive scheme.  I don't think the tempo is going to make a difference.  My team will just stank until I get the right players in place and improve the ones I have.
