Ok so I know pg is supposed to be the floor general with good passing and bh, but I also know WIS is not always like real life. I also know that your starting guards should have good bh and passing in this game to be successful.
My question is, if I have a guard who does not have great bh and pass, but he is still a starter because he is a beast on the floor (just one of those guys who performs very well despite low perimeter/bh/pass, likely due to ath/spd/def) would it hurt me too much to play him at pg depending on matchups?
I ask this because I normally play this guy at sg and he's a stud. His ath/spd/def is in the 80's, but his bh/pass are in the 30's (this is a DIII player). I have a matchup where the guys main scorer who has like 99 per is generally playing at pg, but my normal pg who has good bh/pass is very weak in defense and athleticism. This is a M2M defense. I want to match the great defender against this scorer, but want to make sure I'm not hurting my team too much playing him at pg over sg. Thoughts?
