If a player was designated and I claim him on waivers I'm only on the hook for $327K, right?

The guy I'm looking at is making $6.7MM this year, but was just designated.  I'd love him at $327K, but not $6.7MM

What would I be on the hook for if I claim him?

Designated means you claim him at $6.7M.

If he was released, $327k.

Prorated, of course.
