you are not supposed to be able to do this. i think the projection report is correct, except for this factor - which, by the way, ive been meaning to create a thread and ask about, because my team was recently seeded like 6 spots BELOW their projection report status, which i cannot figure how that might have been caused by avoiding teams from the same conference meeting before the regional semifinals (sweet 16)

A few seasons back, I played a conference opponent in the 1st round of the PIT.   I was also in a conference with 5 teams in the NT. The two best teams were put in the same region. 
seble fixed those problems but they seemed to have recurred, at least for this one time

I was told it happened because my opponent was the last team him, ad so it couldn't slot him lower (although in real life, they slot you one slot higher)  There were 2 auto qualifiers that were slotted below him though

Fixing a problem by letting there still be a problem by a smaller percent of the time =/= fixing the problem.  Just delaying the inevitable.

seble fixed these? recently? ah, that would explain my otherwise inexplicable drop SIX spots when it was not necessary, from the 2nd 7 seed to the last 8. where my opponent should have been like, the first 8, and dropped all the way to the first 9.

im thinking his "fix" includes a few bugs... ill have to go look at the bracket though to make sure there is no logical explanation (other than the one just mentioned)

alright, i figured out the bug, its not considering the regional final as the cutoff like it should, its taking into account the entire region. probably because the PIT was not looking at enough teams, so seble bumped it out or something, but that bumped the NT too, taking into account the entire region - and hence, the chaos i see in the selection process in d2 phelan (im sure it occurs anywhere else there are a lot of teams from the same conf in the NT).

i sent it in to seble, hopefully he can figure that out.

oh well, i guess its a lost cause. seble denies there is a problem. i dont want to misquote him but in short, they said (direct quote) - ""The HD logic has always worked similar to this."

i guess its just a problem of denial. or i could be crazy, and people have always gotten seeded 5 or 6 spots on the S curve lower than where they are- BECAUSE SOMEONE ON THE OTHER HALF OF THE REGION WAS IN THEIR CONFERENCE. yeah, thats always happened. whatever.

teams should never miss the projection report by more than 1 spot.....thats the whole idea of seble coming up with the friggin projection report.......

deery - thats a bad approach to take. if you think im off in what i say, id much rather you say it - i can be wrong, and i am very aware of that fact :)

well, in my world, there were a bunch of teams off by as much or 5 or 6 spots - but still only 1 seed. not sure if thats what you are talking about or what. i know it didnt used to be this way, why the heck would they care if a team going in as a 7 seed (bottom half of the regional bracket) has a conf mate as the 1, 4, or 5 seed (top half of the bracket). and being in the GLV in tark - ive checked randomly throughout how close people lined up to the proj report - and we've got so many teams early in the bracket, we'd definitely have seed people getting bumped from 5 to 6 and 6 to 7 and all that stuff. but ive never noticed it, although i havent really looked at it really in the last few months. so i have to figure that whenever the bug alblack mentioned got fixed, they expanded the seeding process to consider conf mates 1 level out - which, in the pit, might be the entire region - but in the NT, you shouldnt do that. i guess i could be wrong, but its REALLY strange im just now noticing it.
