ok, but what you see in the scouting list now, once the new season starts and if your prestige changes, then you will see different group of guys who once were div I. and now div II if your prestige went up and vice versa if it went down, it's not like if you expect the prestige to go down, you can restore guys who are div II where if you did scouting when new season began, they be div I, am I right on that?
No, you can't "restore" them -- you'll have to treat them like a pulldown/dropdown -- but knowing they were on your division's list when you were at a higher prestige can still be a tip-off that they're guys you can go after.
Say you're a D2 coach with a B+ prestige. You scout a state during the season and it shows 30 recruits on your D2 list. At the end of the season, your prestige drops to a B-. If you repeat the search, you might see only 26 of those 30 recruits at D2, while the 4 names that vanished now show up on your D1 list. The fact you know those four players were once showing D2 for you is a tip-off that they can probably be pulled down quickly and cheaply and/or that they'll likely drop down early in the recruiting cycles (often before signings start, unless your prestige really tanked). You can use that information to plan a recruiting strategy -- either by firing off an early salvo to pull the player down before he shows to other similar coaches in your region. It can also help save you money in that pulldown effort -- maybe you're a guy that typically shoots off 10 scouting trips to try pulling someone down. Knowing they were once a D2 player, you might scale that back to just 5 SV's because you know it won't take as much effort to get the kid to drop, saving yourself money for other battles. Also, knowing that a guy once showed at your division gives you a hint at times that you can be patient, knowing the kid will probably drop down quickly, saving money you would have spent trying to pull him down.
