Jumping back into DI after a long break off; I took over a D prestige school.  What type of players should I be looking at with this low of prestige?  Can I get 2 star players or should I be focusing on lower than that?  Thanks for any advice

stars don't particularly have any value so i wouldn't get too hung up on that.

JUCO's are very important for a low-D1 coach to use, they serve as "intermediaries" between different prestige levels (ex: you don't want to have 6 Freshman that were recruited with D prestige because it's not going to be easy to get to the postseason with them as it would with 4 recruits that were recruited with D+ prestige, plus JUCOs help you get your prestige up quicker).

Try to get a team that has good synergy, like a couple of guys can defend, a couple of guys can score, just recruit players that are good in a couple of things, it's usually not good to recruit really well-rounded players with such a low prestige.

Also at low D1 it' can be very helpful to take a walk-on (don't be scared of even 2), you may need the extra cash to sign better players. It's very important to use Scouting Trips at low D1 to find whether a guy is "high-high" in a category so you can find the diamonds in the rough.

And then lastly don't be afraid to sign international recruits, they can be real gems.

GL! You can sitemail me if you have any questions/if you need feedback on your class.
