Southern Miss is available in Division 1 Tark, in the Conference USA. It's a great conference - 8th in Conference RPI, but moving up fast. About 3 seasons a number of coaches joined, and filled the conference with the idea of building a powerhouse conference that could compete with the Big 6 conference. We have made some great strides towards that goal, and lat year we sent 3 teams to the NT and 3 to the PI. We only have the one opening.

Southern Miss is a team that a coach could really take to a possible NT berth this coming year. It has had a human coach for the last 3 years, and it made the PI last year with a 20-9 record and 86 RPI. It loses 3 players, but they were all recruited by SIMs, so I would expect that the team has the potential to improve upon its current C- prestige.

We have an active conference corner, and Conference USA is nice because the schools are spread out a good bit geographically, so we are not always buttiing heads for recruits.
