Will a player not sign if a contract is to much money or are they just saying that? Not sure if i should decrease my offer or not.

I forget the circumstances but it used to happen with IFA.    Something along the lines of "With a contract like that, the fans will expect too much."

That's interesting.  

If he has an "X" next to his name on your free agency list, he's rejected it.  If there's a "1" next to it, I'm assuming he'll sign with you.

I believe WifS put a "block" on older players being offered 5 year deals too.     I know I tried to sign the worst player ever to a minimum wage deal, he was 44, and he wouldn't sign because it was "too much money" or something like that.

Yes... there are cases where a player will reject a contract as too much (either $ or years). I've seen it happen more often with my returning free agents.

I do have a 1 next to his name, so im assuming as long as it stays like that, he will sign with me
