Who to play at PG/SG? (Washington State D1) Topic

Which guy should I be starting at PG and which at SG? Alves is my best scorer but I feel he might be wasted at the PG position, heck I even thought about playing him at SF but I think his rebounding is too low. I would appreciate any thoughts!

From what I've been taught and what you've helped me with.  I would start Alves at SG and Osgood at point.  Put Osgood -2 and let him drive and pass or get fouled.  Just my 2 cents

I am curious as to why you think he would be wasted at PG. In my experience the PG position can score just as effectively as any other position and perhaps even more so in the motion offense. Alves is the better player so I would play him at PG so the ball is in his hands more. Realistically neither is a great option at PG based on their BH and PA but of the two I think Alves is your best bet. If you go up against a M2M defense and the match up is better for him at SG I may slide him over but Alves would be my primary PG.
