Actually read this article on cnn this am -- didn't even occur to me as a WIS competitor. Sounds cool, but it's definitely a fantasy sports game, not a sim game.

oh, it's a fantasy game, but with the bidding, multiple year contracts and the 9.99 a season price point, we're the people they want, the people who are willing to pay for sports experiences.

Looks cool, but the reason I prefer WIS over fantasy is that I would get so aggravated when I would be battling for a fantasy championship, and the coach would rest his best players at the end of the season. We had a very elaborate system where we had multi year contracts and salary caps in a CBS Sportsline league. Was a lot of work as commissioner, because all of that stuff had to be entered manually.

I've been playing fantasy football for 27 years, and I am coming up on 8 years here.  I tried fantasy baseball, basketball, hockey, and racing, and I tried Dynasty football here.  They all took way to much time and effort.  I used to have 10 teams under 4 usernames here.  Now I have 3 teams here and 2 fantasy football teams. At times that feel like too much. Oh, add to that Bengals, and Xavier season tickets, and a dozen Reds games every year.  I am lucky my wife loves sports and goes with me, but if I do any more she will kill me.

There are probably a lot of great sites out there with a lot of neat features.  I'll leave those to my 28 yo son and his generation.  Call me an old fart. haha
