Longest win streak Topic

I just had a win streak end at 42. I know this can't be anywhere near the best. What are some of the longest you all have seen?

My all-time best (which just ended this week) is 40 games. But I've definitely heard of someone having back-to-back undefeated seasons, even though I haven't seen it

I had a 69 game winning streak at Palm Beach Atlantic in Phelan, seasons 41 and 42. Went undefeated one year and lost in the championship game the second year. Still wishing I could have won back to back championships with undefeated seasons.

In Naismith, lostmyth put together back-to-back 35-0 seasons at E. Oregon back in the early 20s seasons (after the second national title, it appears he jumped to D2 and went 8-19 the following year, so unknown if the streak made it beyond 70 games or not...

On the flip side, Springfield (DIII Naismith) lost 127 straight games between seasons #22-#27.

Massachusetts Liberal Arts in D3 Rupp may have topped that feat not that long ago. The streak starts with a year that went 1-15 in league play, but I have no way of knowing where that lone win was. But the CT loss definitely starts the streak. (1). Then transpire four consecutive 0-27's..(109)...followed by a winless non-conference season the following year...119 games...before a 1-15 conference season ultimately would have derailed the streak at a minimum of 119 games and possibly as high as 149.

(ETA -- Just pulled my Rupp Season 63 thread and scrolled...the streak ended at a minimum of 126 games, meaning it could have been as high as 141 games at that point...)

(ETA again -- D2 Allen also has a current active losing streak of no fewer than 118 games (and no more than 127 games) going at Bentley.)

Damn that is pretty brutal to get that close. Was it a close loss too?
