Having trouble with a team running press against m Topic

I have a young but descent team. We are 20-4 with a really soft sch. We have lost twice to a team that plays press def slowdown +4 agast us. Overall my team is better. I think anyway. Higher ratings in def ath speed ect. Anyway we cannot play agast the press. We have played normal and uptempo man. I also play a motion. Any recommendations just invade we play each other again?

Load up the scoring for your best players.  That's a huge drawback to the press in that you can't gameplan individual players.  I'd definitely increase the distro to Collins.

Just my first impression from looking at the box scores on your two matchups with E. Illinois, but it seems  your PG gets into foul trouble against EIU.  I didn't look deeper to see if fouls were a prevalent issue for your guards, but in your last game, Edie fouled out.  In the game before that, he had 4 fouls and one of his backups fouled out.  The obvious difference between Edie and Kirwan is that Kirwan has 70 ATH to Edie's 48.    WIthout your PG on the court, you're hobbled a bit.

Team wise, you've been pretty close. Giving up a few TOs but outshooting him by a few FG% and outrebounding him by a couple every time.  It's not like you're being outmanned or anything.  But if I were you, I'd see what I could do to help Edie a little more even if it's recruiting more athletic PGs in the next seasons.

If you're certain that he's gonna run a +4 against you again, load up your distro on Collins, Meinhardt, and Lee and pound the ball inside.  That should get him into big time foul trouble and cause all kinds of fatigue issues with his players, which in turn will cause them to foul even more.  Just a thought.
