Is there any correlation between your rpi and NT seeding?  My USC Aiken team has an rpi of 22 and a sos of 40 and I just found out I got a 10 seed in the NT tournament.  According to the projection report, I was at 41 so it looks like the projection report is spot on but why are teams with rpis >22 higher on the projection report?  It's not a big deal, I still made the NT, I was just wondering if anyone understood the NT seeding logic better than myself.  Thanks

Yeah seeding is based on ur spot in the projection report.

So what is the point of rpi then in this game?  I thought rpi (rating percentage index) was used to rank teams and I assume team ranking would then transfer to projection report, but I guess not. 

It used to be the #1 factor on how your team was seeded, but they created PPR which is a huge improvement. All the factors for PPR can be found in the FAQ.

Basically, the projection report looks at how many wins you have against top 50 teams and top 100 teams (using RPI).  This has been a huge improvement in the game, since RPI can really be gamed by playing a bunch of away games against OK teams.  Now, to get a good seed, you actually have to beat good teams.

projection report is tougher to manipulate than rpi - clever scheduling can create a strong rpi in some cases where other indicators would not be so high
