Hitters park or players park? Topic

Is it better to play in a hitters park or a players park if your team's strength is power hitting, but weakness is starting pitching?

Pitchers park...protect the pitchers and your offense should still score runs. Especially if you have high BE guys who will be on base and a little speed. The power should help a lot too since you won't have to string together hits to score runs if you frequently hit HRs.

Thanks for the reply!

Would love to get more opinions though too just to see if this is the consensus. Anyone else?

I should have a lot of power hitting, but not necessarily many guys who excel at just getting on base.

I'm interested in seeing opinions too.  Would the opposite also be true, then... if your hitters aren't the greatest, would you put them in a hitter's park and take your chances with your pitching results?

Depends on your defense.   A good D will cover for your weak pitching.   A poor D will destroy it.   If you have a good D, go ahead and play in a hitter's park.   If your D sucks, your pitching will never prevent enough runs to keep you in games in a hitter's park.

I like to play in hitters parks with above average pitchers and try to have really good def.

My D is pretty good, the main weak spot would be CF, do you think HEnderson Franco can pass as a competent CF? I have strong defensive SS, and 3Bs.

I think he will do fine in cf not great but be ok.  Id rather have him at 2nd

Can't. No one else can play CF except one of my 2 defensive SS, but then I would have 2, possibly 3 players (I'm trying to upgrade my C who is pretty weak overall, to at least get a good defensive c) who would OPS 600 or less in the lineup (I'm in the AL too).
