Well, your players are just not good enough.     I think you need to do 2 things:

1.  Get your ATH and DEF up about 10 points all around.    NT bound D3 teams generally have ATH and DEF ratings around  50.
2.  You need to emphasize PASSING and REBOUNDING more.    I don't see a PG on your team and that will hurt you.   I think a minimum d3 PG is 60/60/60 in speed, bh/pass.   Adding to that, your post players need to rebound better, particularly  in a zone.   Try to get 4 players with a 50 ATH, 75+ REB, that should sure it up.

Thanks Trentonjoe. Is there anything I can do different this season to help my team.

I would increase Smart's and Leaf's  distro.

Overall, yeah, you just need better players.  Take a look at the teams who have success in your conference and your world.  Focus on coaches who run the same sets you run.  See what they value and copy the crap out of them.

Ok, thanks guys

Ball handling, passing and rebounding.

You have five slots coming. I would probably go for two good ath and reb post types, and two guards with a good bh/pass combo. If you have the money left for a fifth recruit after securing those, another guard type. If you can afford to cut and still have enough money to fill the slot, I would be eyeing manly for the axe, unless he has great potential. I would probably at least try to see if there are any good juco players in the area for one big and one guard - to give Basel some company in his class and perhaps balance things out a bit.

The way I look at it your teams has two major problems that are liable to give you fits this year; ball handling/passing and rebounding. You can sometimes survive losing the turnover game OR the rebound game, you can rarely survive losing both.

Manly should finish up with 75 sp, 65 per, 48 def, 65 bh, by senior year. Should I cut him?

Not all that bad. You have anyone on the team with good potential in ath, rebounding, bh and or passing?

Well, Hylton, a FR, will finish 70 ath and 62 reb.  Bragg will finish 40 ath and 90 reb. As far as BH & P not really.  Best one is Schmidt, will finish with 60 BH and 42 P.
This hopefully will help.  http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/office/PracticePlan.aspx

Then bh and passing are doubly important. Far as I'm concerned, if you lose both the battle for turnovers and the battle for rebounds, you will have a very hard time winning.

Gotcha, TY arssanguinus. Recruiting has been rough the past couple seasons up in the NE.

Hello everyone, I'm also in an epic slump. Two winless teams and one one win team. Obviously I'm completely out of my depth here. I thought I did a good job recruiting but obviously not (except for my Cal Tech team where I basically failed to recruit anyone quality). I'm sure I'm short on talent but that does not explain this epic slide. I have to be doing something so obvious incorrectly. Any advice is welcomed. I love the game but I'm getting really discouraged with it at this point. Thanks!

kbc, You play m2m on every team. Recruit for m2m you need Ath, Def, then Sp.  Also you need to be running slowdon with all of your teams.  You don't have enough depth nor  ST to run normal or uptempo.  You're real young on most of your teams, put your younger players in that have high potential and let them ride it out.  Your upperclassmen just aren't that much better.  Also it looks like you have alot of the same players, when you recruit you need diversity.  Take a 70 per with 30 def, but recruit 3 more with def in the 50-60 range.  Take a LP 80 guy with 30-40 def, but also recruit a 60-70 reb with 50-60 def.  Hope this helps.
