What do you guys think (DI Elite program question) Topic

I continually struggle with the following question, do I put 30/30 into practice time to maximize IQs and get them developed quicker and sacrifice what could potentially be missing out on maximizing player growth. Here is my thought, at elite programs many of us continually get hit by early entries and rarely have Sr. laden classes. Since players are leaving anyhow and we end up playing so many underclassmen, wouldnt the increased IQ help more than the individual point or two in specific ratings categories?

I've migrated my teams generally to 25/25 rather than having some at 20/20 because of analysis like that.  I wonder about 30/30 - how much less effective per minute would minutes 26-30 of team practice be....probably not all that much less than other minutes.  Wondering.  Good question

i played 30/30 most of the time during my d1 championship run, but i feel very strongly it is not the way to go today. the increase in IQ from 25/25 to 30/30 is so slight, its really only worth it when your whole team was maxing out with that 25/25 too early. early in potential (as im sure you remember) guys were capping sometimes after 1 season, and even guys with huge growth could get their 50 points out of a category by soph year. with individual minutes completely wasted, i went with the 30/30 setup. but now growth is so much slower, i really dont see high end teams capping out their ratings that early, some guys with high potential its tough to even cap them at all. when you still have decent growth left, 10m in a category is significantly more than a point or two, in a high high it can be 10 points or more. compared with a slight fraction of an iq grade advantage (its still not even a partial iq grade by the end of senior year), seems to me the individual growth is more important. you really hit diminishing returns very hard going from 25m to 30m.
