Can someone give me an explanation why this prospect retired?   Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: J.D. Blank

or because he was stuck in low a at 24 years old

Yep.  You gotta promote your prospects.  Preferably, at the end of the season, before rollover.

If JD had been promoted at least to High A, he would have stayed.

Tough lessons to learn

Age and experience matters.    Had he been 20 in LoA, he wouldn't have given up the game.

Thanks for all of the good answers. It will not happen again.

I'm a relatively new user to the game, but a trend I commonly see is that after the draft, owners are lazy and dump their entire prospect list onto rookie without considering that their picks might be at different stages of their careers.  Not all prospects are created equal.  This guy was a 66 overall college senior.  He would have fit in with his peers (age-wise and skill-wise) by starting his career with AA or even AAA, and becoming a major leaguer very quickly.  He has low ratings for patience, temper, and makeup.  Users should pay closer attention to what level their prospects begin.

Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Bill Bravo was another interesting story.  Poor guy just couldn't handle going down to AA.

What the hell was he doing in AA?

Couldn't tell you. I traded him and the new owner assigned him to AA.
