not get drafted?

Is it strange that I've now had two such players?

It has nothing to do with real life.

Without even looking, I'm going to bet that you've got a decently (but not hugely) successful low or mid DI team that's had some high scoring players that are quite good for your level but definitely not as good as the stronger starters in the BCS conferences. As such, they put up big scoring numbers against lesser competition, but simply aren't good enough to get drafted.

This is not a David Blaine HD trick ... all of the AA teams are highly populated with these guys, just take a look. In real life, these players would not earn AA honors. It's one of the little HD foibles that they will, provided their team is reasonably successful.

So honestly, instead of lamenting the fact that they're not getting drafted, I'd consider yourself very lucky that they're getting the AA mention in the first place.

It's not like real life, most of the time really high scorers from mid-level programs don't make AA teams, while supremely talented players with middling stats get drafted.

Porch and Hendrix on Mizzou are great examples. Porch MAY get drafted, Hendrix won't. I think I could make an easy argument that despite both having worse stats and honors, they're both better players than your AA guy.

You seem like a nice guy girt25....thanks for your insight.

Maybe Trobone....but you were never matched up against him so you'll never know.  Just from looking quickly, I'd say my guy is better than 3 of the starters you have at Mizzou.  That doesn't make him All-American I don't think so you're probably right.  It was cool watching a kid that was 130something PF in America as a recruit turn into an 850something rated All American.  I enjoyed it.

I keep forgetting this isn't a real college basketball simulation, it's an excel spreadsheet that people learn to manipulate.

Sherron Collins and Scottie Reynolds both went undrafted after being 1st Team All-Americans in 2010.

Love the last line. For many, it's not a basketball game played using computers, it's a computer game that just happens to be set in a basketball milieu.

That AA PF is a stud. Good job identifying talent and coaching him up, er - manipulating data.

I wish I could learn to manipulate the spreadsheet better!

Smack, it's entering the matrix, take the blue pill ... just gameplan with a black screen and random green numbers dripping from the top and loud techno blaring from your speakers and you'll manipulate it better, duhhh

Of course, odds are sooner or later you'll get shot, but life's full of risks...

hoosier - he's absolutely a great player. I hope he gets drafted for you. I only say "better" in terms of what I'm looking for. I put an emphassis on speed/ath/defense and i tend to lack per/lp abilities. My teams don't score much, but they force a lot of turnovers and fouls. I haven't had a guy put up that many points per game in a long time, so congrats!
