His agent is his mother and he probably won't sign Topic

OK, we just conducted our Capra draft.  I had the #27 pick and ended up with the guy I had ranked #4 on my board.  He's a decent glove OF with projected 100 speed and 57 Contact/98 Power/99 vL/61vR/76 Eye.  He's 21 years old and has 32 pts to gain to hit is vL split...but will get to the others.  I did only have $13M in College Scouting so those numberrs will move about a bit.

However....When I ranked him I did not notice that his mother is his agent and that he "Probably won't sign as he wants to finish college.:

He's demanding $6M in bonus.  I have only $7M budgeted.

I could move some cash around.....but what is the chance he actually signs?  He's certainly a steal at #27 but if he won't sign then I'm bummed because I won't find a guy like him there next year.....and the guy that Burnsy got at #28 is really the guy I thought I might get and hoped I would:  A catcher who I over-ranked to #5 just because I thought he might fall to #27.

I didn't think I had any chance to draft my guy because 86 OVR mashing/good glove OF's don't fall to #27 usually.

Anyway...What's the chance he signs?  I'll offer the $6M and hold off on some of my other draft guys, who aren't very good anyway.

I should have noticed that mommy was his agent.  Sigh....

If he rejects the offer, do not delete the email rejecting the offer.  Use the link in the email to re-offer the same amount, because there will be no other way to access the offer page.  There's about a 2-5% chance per offer that he will accept or counter; if he counters you can move the cash around at that time.

I've only received this message (from Mrs. Gomez):  We're delighted your franchise could come up with the dough we were shooting for, but Jeanmar is serious about finishing up his degree. If anything changes, we'll let you know.

So no rejection yet.

Thanks, dd

How come none of these kids are ever represented by their father?

Because the baby daddy left when they were three and won't come back until they strike it rich.
