'Word on the Street' as of 2/14 2:17 pm EDT: Our sources tell us that all 4 schools have a shot with him.

This came up all crappy, I'll try to fix it. We're a full day past the signing cycle with 5 teams on a guy, and everyone has to have big money on him to get on the list.

I'd probably take him on my D3 team ;)

That's the amount of competition (or more) there should be more often. Because realism.
This is HD though.

Please quit the game. Your incessant complaining is extremely annoying.

What form of English is this?

Probably the best stinenavy post ever.

I'm going to imagine all those teams have less than 10 k into him. Yes hes a good player but theres no way 5 big schools (or rather the coaches who were smart enough to get there) would go after a player of this quality that hard. Probably a situation where one coach got the leading message and saw 4 other teams on him and isn't spending more. Then the other 4 teams are all losing and saw 5 teams on him and thought "well this isn't worth it to continue"

You seriously haven't seen the Because 'Merica meme and its many offshoots? I'll admit it's not proper English, but it's pretty common.

Um...true?

In the sport that HD intends to simulate, players being recruited by that many schools or more is not uncommon.

False. I had 63K on him at the time I posted it, so everyone else had to have somewhere around that much on him as well. Clemson with their A+ prestige won the battle and he said he spent 60K.

I don't mind this outlook and think Etta's common complaints are about how HD isn't a great simulation of basketball. Well, I have accepted that to a greater degree, and I think most people have because you have to to not get ****** at the game and also to begin to actually field winning teams.

Other things about this game which are a little un-realistic...teams that are highly skilled but not as athletic are really good in the NCAA tournament, but would be bottom feeders in HD. You can get ******, or you can just start to build your team to compete. I am off topic, but Etta's complaints are valid from a basketball fan point of view, just not from a gaming POV. The system is formulaic and mechanical and does not react with any intuition.

The point about recruiting realism is interesting, but only solved by getting more people signed up to play HD. I am not up in D1, but I tend to think that more people are battled for up there than in D3, where I play. The strategy for recruiting would be completely different if battling for multiple players was a regular part of a recruiting cycle and it would be really interesting to try. Perhaps the veteran coaches who regularly field teams could all agree to go into one world for one team each...if we got 300, we could fill up all of d3, and then the recruiting wars would be...as the kids say...cray cray
