on players to keep, bearing in mind the D3 recruiting budget limits how many I can effectively recruit.
Maybe I should phrase it as which 5-6 players would you boot (if there's that many that should be booted).

Don't get too crazy, you don't get paper for that scholarship if it's a cut player. At first glance...maybe get rid of Rowland, make sure you keep everyone else eligible, win some games next season with those upperclassmen, then take that cash & prestige bump to get ahold of some quality recruits.

You'll have 7 seniors next season.  If you can be patient for just one more season, you'll be able to replace those 7 players.  Remember, though, only 6 of them can be freshmen. So, if you fill all seven slots, one of them must be an upperclassman. 

 SIM teams don't have that rule; that's why you have seven juniors.

Yeah, dump roland and wait in recruiting until the last day.  Then try to sign someone with a start and scholarship.

Do you have ANY rollover cash?   If not your looking at around $500.   I would wait until the last day, scout two $200 states ($380) and then sign one player.   It'll be a lot of waiting but there will be one player left over that you can use.
