I was checking out open worlds and looked at one called Gleeman World. A guy by the same name seems to have won about 85% of his games, is always in the post season and wins it often. Yet the world rolls quickly and has long time ownership. With so many worlds having trouble filling I guess it's proof positive there's something out there for everyone and sometimes that's marching to a different dumber. More power to 'em.

Rolls quickly with help of his blog and Twitter account, each with a devoted fan base.

Gleeman is pretty much it's own little private community.  They keep to themselves and do their own thing.  I'm guessing they also defer to the pseudo-celebrity status of their "leader" and let him dominate the world year after year.

Lot of hate for Gleeman, what gives? He's never had a draft pick higher than 25th overall. He makes more trades each season than most owners do in their entire career. Keeps his payroll down so he can sign an IFA most seasons. Seems like he's an active and intelligent owner who should be emulated, not derided.

Rumors abound about the trades that allow him to A) win 85% of his games B)  keep payroll down C) sign high $$$ season after season.

It's up to each individual to determine the validity of said rumors.

130 wins 5 of last 7 years?  Seems fishy.

Well, if he's fleecing newbs with bad trades, that's another thing altogether.  But shouldn't the rest of the world be paying attention and vetoing unfair trades?

aarongleeman.com and @AaronGleeman, respectively. You should be able to take it from there.

Like I mentioned earlier, they are their own little closed society, and pretty much keep to themselves.  My gut feeling is that there's a general understanding of "nobody crosses Aaron".  And they all seem to be cool with that, so it's OK.  Private worlds can set their own guidelines of how to conduct themselves, and as long as they keep that internal, then no harm to anybody else.

The last sentence is key.

It looks like both worlds are a testament to why its a bad idea to allow the selling of  players
