My backup center who is a sophomore, never started, averaged 9.2 points a game and 17 minutes a game was the conference player of the year.  My starting PG was more deserving as was my starting PF.  Oh well!

I am guessing that his FG% is a big reason why he got CPotY. Non-conference stats are not factored into conference awards, and it looks like he did better during conference play.
