This might be a dumb question....

If I have 8 scholarships available and only fill 6. Will i get money the next season for the 2 open scholarships?

and if you have 8 openings, keep in mind that you can sign at most 6 freshmen - if you use the other two they need to be jucos or transfers

Remember that you will only get the equivalent cash for a maximum of 6 openings regardless of how many openings you have.  So if you filled some of those scholarships with some senior 1 year recruits and again have more than 6 openings again next season, you will only get the cash for 6 of them (plus an equal share of whatever post season cash your conference earns).
