I have one open scholly at the DII level which means about $5000 to play with.  I targeted a player who was a fair distance from my school.
I waited a few cycles and no one jumped on him.  I thought for sure he was mine.  Last minute a school close to him jumps in and bags him.  I didn't have the $'s to waste at that point.  Plan D was still available so I pursued.  He is telling me that he loves my school, can't wait to play for me; etc.  He is not considering me though (Yes I offered the scholly).  I have exactly $1.00 remaining.  Is there a chance he will still sign? Or am I screwed? There is another 2 days left in recruiting.

Hehe.  Take a look at my HD record.  I've had a fair amount of success.  Never done anything as dumb as this.  I didn't catch the 5th yr senior returning.  I would have been left with about 1250.00 for next season's recruiting (the 25% carryover); however, I am now left with .25 cents (which I will not see obviously).  Ugh.  Thanks for wasting your time gents.

if the cycle hasn't rolled you can cancel your recruiting money spent, go to recruits page and recruiting tab and you can cancel things you've done if the cycle hasn't kicked in.

Yeah, problem is I will only save $15,00.  Everything else has been spent.  I screwed that one up.  Thanks again.

Ouch!  You would have retained the full $5,000.  No 25% haircut because you had no open scholarships.  That was all carryover & bonus cash...bummer.
