from a stroke.  He was expected to be the "next long term SS" for the Tigers back in the mid 70s, but never really panned out as planned.  Did start, or at least play the majority of the time, between Ed Brinkman and Alan Trammell.   RIP

I am sorry to hear that. Have draft him a zillion times in 1970 prog leagues as one of the best backup SS you can get in those decades. 

Not very old.  Sad news.
