So I put myself in a corner and have 1.7m in extra payroll, 70k in prospect signing bonuses(after signing two of my picks).   Rather than fill out my rookie league team with TC players, I'm going to let SIMMY transfer 1m from payroll, without penalty, and sign my last 7 picks to make it 20 in RL.    This will allow me to sign my 2nd pick(#37) with the extra prospect money that I got with no 50% penalty.

Has anyone tried this?    If so, did it work?

Bah, won't matter.   Had an owner accept a deal to free up some cash.   Filled it out on my own so I wouldn't get caught in some finagled mess. 

Haven't tried it. Great idea. Please let us know if simmy transfers $$ w/o penalty. Hopefully this isn't a spot most of us will ever be in, but it's better for the competitive balance if everyone knows the tricks / bugs.

I know SIMMY does.  It happened in Mantle for me.   I just didn't "plan" it so I wasn't sure if it was a fluke or not. 

Not Mantle, Moonlight Graham.   And I'd ran out of payroll space.   They took 1m from prospect and added to payroll with no penalty in order to sign the bottom part of my draft. 

I've had simmy take $1M out of medical before w no penalty.  Simmy will transfer the $ then offer to the bottom of the draft regardless of player position.  If you catch that cycle, you can cancel those offers and use the cash the way you'd like to - maybe sign a couple of higher draft choices or IFA's with the cash.  I've used it as a strategy when I needed $ for a supplemental or 2nd rd pick that I liked.  Once the transfer occurs I go back and sign tryout guys to fill out the rookie team.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully not a spot I ever find myself in, but good to know this trick. Budget transfer penalty is one of the dumbest part of HBD. Any way around it is good.
