D2 Recruiting Reach Topic

I've heard that D3 to never exceed 300-400 miles on a recruit. I have translated that to D2 and found success but curious what is the typical reach for D2? Is it nationwide? 1000 miles? I feel I may be limiting myself, Typically I FSS 4-5 States real close to my school and roll with that. How many do other coaches scout?

I only scout the nearby states.  The # depends on my budget. If i only need one player, I may scout only 1-2 states.
After signing, if i still have openings, I may scout distant states.

Remember that FSS gets cheaper after signings begin, which is the only time I'd advise newer players to look beyond the 370-mile wall.
