Best 2-day DII Worlds Topic

Really need to hone my skills/knowledge and I enjoy the DII game. I remember hearing that Knight was the most competitive two day world at DII. Is that still the case? Does anyone have other opinions?

Thanks in advance

when was knight ever the most competitive 2/day world at anything? that is news to me. generally tark is one of the most competitive worlds overall because when it came out, it was not only the only new world, but the only 2/day, so a large % of the high end coaches flocked there. im not sure it still holds the same advantage, but for a while, d1 tark was very substantially harder than d1 phelan or knight, and i know d3 phelan and knight were considered among the worst for a good while there, so im not really sure how d2 would have gotten particularly strong. everyone has their own opinion i guess. although i do have a completely unbiased world strength calculator that could provide an objective, unbiased standpoint... but in lieu of me going and running all that dynasty list crap right now, if you do a thread search for "pop data" or "population data", i forget which, you will see the update i did a month ago that lists the world population data of all divisions of all worlds now and back to the beginning of time. i'd look at that and see which d2 has the highest pop of the 2/day worlds and go with that. or in lieu of that, your safest bet is tark.

hope that helps!

If you do go to knight, the Heartland is a good place to land in d2 if a slot is open.

Very similar list of folks in each one. Knight has had 4 super conferences for 10-15 seasons now. The MUSDUC tourney collapsed under its own weight, but there are nearly 5 such conferences now. IMHO, It's knight, tark, then phelan at D2. Not sure the current population totals are all that different.

i stopped being lazy and looked it up. surprisingly close, i must say. maybe check d3 and d1 and go with the world with the highest overall pop, if the d2s are basically the same, that is probably your next best indicator of how strong d2 will be in the future.

knight is fairly competitive i think gil - can you run one of your thingys and determine that?

Thanks guys, it seems like there is no clear consensus, although Knight does start a lot sooner, so it has an advantage in that sense. If you do have any other insight gillespie, it would be great, but don't do it for my edification, I think I've made a choice.

The Heartland in D2 has a couple openings and while we had a bit of a down year are consistently in the discussion of top 3 or so conferences (of quite a few quality conferences - I do think Knight has a good D2 culture)

It's been years since I've done knight so I can't tell but to me I always liked Tark even though it's clearing out in Div 1.

Or take a look at the Lone Star Conference in Knight D2 -- the unquestioned kings of the MUSDUC tournament.
