Look at the Theme League Classifieds and you'll find something of interest.

The latest edition of my Bigger Non-Invitational is about half- full right now. 30 teams, simple rules, and always tough competition. Variable cap playing at $135M for season 22.

Also If you enjoy lively non-stop political debate and non stop intelligent dialogue about life issues in general (it's all good natured) TBill's KOH forum talk is super competitive (I know what you mean about the wacky twist, there are none here). Bring your A game though or Pennsylvania will turn you into a Bleeding heart ultra liberal before you're done. Lol. GL.

I've joined a $60 million TONKA league that took me nearly 2 days to build the team. It's in the classifieds currently and being run by biglenr.

I have to second the progressive league route. I thought for the longest time it would be too much commitment and avoided playing them for years, but now I'm in 1 and run another and they are the real reason I continue to play WIS. GMing your team year-over-year, the drafts, the great competition and the friendships you build with the other owners make them the best leagues around in my opinion.
