Using Cash Credits Topic

I always find purchasing products here confusing.
I have $15-$16 worth of cash credits and some are close to expiry.
Also have about 2,000 Reward Points credits
Would like to buy a 6-pack and make use of the cash credits about to expire.
Can someone advise?

You can buy $1 credits with 160 reward points.  So 2000 reward points will buy about $12 worth of credits.  That'll bring your credits up to $27-$28.  You'll have to combine that with real $$$ to buy a six pack.

Never understood the need for 2 types of reward systems.  Never understood why cash credits expire.
