Promoting prospects in season Topic

I've been shifting some players - in season - between minor league levels. This seems not to be an optimal strategy now that I make my way back through the forum archives.

I have an 'ok' prospect in Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Pablo James. I wonder if the ping-ponging might reduce his development.

Thoughts?

As a general rule, any demotion can incur a penalty. There are exceptions when going back to the minors from the majors for when another player is activated from the DL, but for the most part when you go up you never go back down.

Also pre spring training demotions have no penalty

I'm thinking you just find an appropriate level and leave the guy there right?

Yes. Appropriate with age, experience and also your coaches.

Start the season where you want them.   Don't be afraid to promote to a better coach as the season goes along.   He can start at that level next season.
