I agree. Once I actually counted the down time in a one a day world. If you have a bad team and lose in the first round of a conference tourney, that's 9 calendar days of waiting just to see the season finish. Then a day for job openings and 3 more days for the job period, another day before recruiting starts, 5 days of recruiting, and then finally the season starts again. So what, that's almost 3 weeks between seasons. Most of that time there is nothing to do. If you have a light recruiting cycle, it could be brutal.
I think the job change period should overlap with recruiting. This would give an advantage to coaches who stay at the same school. That mirrors real life too. Why can't the periods overlap? If you want to move schools, then take the hit on recruiting. To me I refuse to play one a day worlds because of the sheer slow pace of the seasons. I get bored way before the seasons start.
