On my Hanover team I have a small forward with 80 post and I can't seem to get scoring out of him.    Ath and speed are both 25-ish - weak I guess but it shouldn't be that debilitating.     His IQ for our motion offense is only C.    I have had games where he started at SF and scored zero.   How do you get low post production out of a SF?   Motion offense, BTW

Couple things...1. Make sure his distro is high.....2. The scoring equation for post players includes ATH/LP/BH/IQ, your guy is pretty lacking in three there....3. Defenders with higher ATH will limit his shots.....4. Having a PG with high (60+) PASS will help FG%

That guy is a player without a position. He's one of those guys that look appealing but really is a negative all around player. Of course I dont know his potentials, but it doesn't look promising. His bh, passing, and speed are too low to want to give him much time at SF. Now if his rebounding develops, he could play pf. But even then his athletisim is low. His defense is low for any position.

Again I don't know his potentials but those cores are really going to have to improve a bit. I don't mean to tear down your player, just advice for upcoming recruiting. He is better than a sim recruit so you did okay signing him. You want to keep improving from year to year.

He is also very young so give him time and he could definitely contribute offensively. I just wouldn't rely on him to be your top scoring option.

Good luck. Oh, and hooray for playing zone defense!

Milwood, i find those players are often good as multipositional backups.

thanks for the responses Trenton, Milwood.  On the positive side he is high potential in many areas and improving quickly.

I would say his best shot is playing back-up center.  rather than putting him up against more athletic and probably faster SF, put him against slow footed and low athletic centers.  there is no position penalty, so you can put him at center… I have seen good teams get by with center in the 40s athleticism with such high LPs (over 70 at D3) and be solid offensive players.  press teams do well to avoid anyone less than 40 ath, but every team has to start somewhere

thanks Brian.   I have started him a few games at center (I promised him a starting job.   yeah that was an error.)    With him at center and a stronger defensive player at SF my team seems to be working better.
