I just started. I read a lot on the forums. Anyone can check my signings at South Vermont. Does that look allright? I had 5 scholarships. I rescinded scholarships so I ended up with 9. I won't be able to fill more than 6. maybe 7. I ran out of money. I was sure I could still get players once the signings deadline has passed but it seems you still need to go to the whole recruiting thing.

its hard to say without knowing potentials, but you seemed to do a good job on recruiting good base  ath/spd/def.

honestly taking taking 1/2 walkons wont be a big deal and it just means you can get more of your own recruits next year.

great job, again without knowing pot, hard to say for sure but it seems solid especially for your first time recruiting!

I echo theOnly's comments. By next season, you should be handling the sims in your conference with no problem, assuming you have any potentials at all.

Does 1 durability mean what it used to mean--that the player will get injured within a few games and be out most of the season? Or did they fix that? Otherwise your PF might be in trouble.

If you ever move up to d-2, take a look at the Sunshine conference. :-)

I've had players with a 1 durability go 4 years and never get injured. All it means is if the guy gets injured, there's a higher probability that it will be a major injury and that, if his health drops, it'll rebuild at a much slower rate.

For my two cents, I would never NOT take a good player just because of a single-digit durability rating. The rewards more than offset the risks in my opinion.

Good to know. Maybe my memory's off, and I did say the early days -- like 2004-5 timeframe. I had a break from about 07 - 14.

Yeah - Durability is not even worth looking at in my opinion.

I never look at DUR

Pippen, I had scouted NY and MA for my D1 squad in Tark, so I was able to see your players' potentials.  Really, I thought you did a great job, particularly for your first class.

I had only 2 question marks -- first, I think you might want to shoot more more athleticism in a PF than Bayles has, because athleticism contributes not only to scoring but also rebounding and defense, and Bayles will cap out somewhere between 32-45 which (I respectfully submit) will be too low.

The second is Eckenrode.  I really like his athleticism and defense, but you might consider playing him at the 3 because of his relatively low speed, perimeter, and ball handling.

That said, I really like Rath, Bray, and Radcliff.  Again, nice job for your first class.

Thanks Shafty. I thought SB was really important. I took Bayles for his shotblocking abilities. I thought it was a must on a team. Eckenrode is like an athlete you throw in there, a joker of all, a master of none. I will follow your advice and start Eckenrode at the SF spot. I don't expect to win a lot of games this season. I read that freshmen seldom dominate in DIII.
