No evidence of it whatsoever.

Their demands are determined by their OVR

Must be topic of the day in Big Hurt.    My response to another owner in BH:

I've seen no indication that they do. If someone had noticed it, we'd know and we'd see owners sitting players at the end of the year in order to get them off those lists. And other owners banding together to vote specific players as the award winners to jack their demands.

IOW, it would make zero sense as the smart owner would always vote for his divisionmate's players.

Arb also takes playing time into account.

IOW if a guy rides the bench and accumulates 100 PAs during the season his arb request is going to be much less than a guy who plays everyday.

Q: Will winning awards/making teams (like futures) or winnign games at the minor league level ever impact player development on things like makeup and patience, or any other ratings? Or are they all strictly cosmetic? (zbrent716 - Hall of Famer - 4:23 PM)

A: They help a player's confidence and will boost their demands in free-agency and arbitration.
