Who was the last man in the majors to get a hit off Satchel Paige? The answer is below. Satchel was officially (!) 53 at the time of this game, and except for that one base runner pitched 3 perfect innings against the Red Sox. Heck of a thing.

1stG and C i'm guessing after looking at some other blurry pics of that scoreboard

Yeah, those scoreboard numbers threw me too.

As you can see in the play-by-play section, Pierce struck Williams out this at-bat.

Photographers used to get great shots like these before the rule was implemented banning them from the field during play.
