tie-breaker oddity? Topic

So two teams tie for the division. The tie breaker is head to head and Team A goes to the post season Team B is left out.
Then when the new season begins, Team A has a better draft slot then Team B.

Anyone seen it before?

Different tie-breaker for determining draft order?

Seems absurd doesn't it?

Yeah, I've seen it.    I'm guessing it is different for draft order.

I'm guessing that after rollover to the next season, the "head to head" info for the first tiebreaker is gone, so it defaults to some other criteria.  Perhaps the second tiebreaker (division record) since it still has history for that.

Couldn't hurt to send in a ticket to ask for an explanation.

The Tiebreakers for the Amateur Draft are listed in the Help Menu on the Draft Order page:

"If multiple teams have the same winning percentage, the tiebreaker is run differential then runs scored then coin flip. In season 1, the order is based on the average overall rating of your entire organization."

Thank you.
