In HBD it's very one sided. We offer money and contracts to players and coaches and they respond back with their snide comments. And we deal with it. Who wants to blow off some steam? You know you wanna.

My example: I offer a catcher who is an ML player a minor league contract 20 games into the season. Before now he has recieved 0 offers.

Agents response: when you get serious about meeting my clients demands, we'll get serious about signing with your team.

What I would like to say: Listen you little punk, if you haven't noticed, the season is almost a quarter way in and no one needs or wants your services. You are lucky to be playing at all. Do your time in AAA, take your stupid paycheque, and if anyone goes down with an injury we will give you another shot.

Anyone else wanna play?

It such a sad statement on the Canadian school system that they all don't know how to spell "paycheck".

Actually, every English speaking country in the world spells cheque properly except one. I'd guess the one that spells it differently is the one that has it wrong.

What's the statement on the Canadian penchant to attempt communication with make believe ballplayers in make believe systems in make believe worlds?

This is what happens when I can't find employment for 6 months. You can thank the Canadian Economy for that one.

Well, there are more English speakers in that one country than in any other. When you have 310 million Americans writing "checks," and only 100 million British, Canadian, and Australian people writing "cheques," I'd go with the majority rule here.

Of course, the way things are going (debit cards and whatnot), checks and cheques will both be obsolete in a few years, so it's kind of a moot point.

Your words prove the superiority of the American educational system as the only one teaching their children the correct spelling of the word.

The fact that you used superiority and American educational system in the same sentence clearly indicates you are a byproduct of said system.  As any well educated person is aware, our system is nothing worth bragging about.

That's not to say we dont have amazing schools. some of the best in the world actually, but our "system" is broken.
