FINAL FOUR PREDICTIONS DII Topic

Final four predictions
Midwest
#1 Angelo State – A perfectly built offense. Really speedy, it’s scary. Can pass the ball like no other ballclub. Favorite to win it all right now.

East
#2 Mount Olive – Colonels is going back to the final four. The senior class seems ready to lift the trophy.

South
#2 University of DC – Does Emy have the same team as in season 78? Certainly not. He’d be the first to tell you how strong that team was. But it’s an athletic, defensive minded class that should put him in contention.

West
#6 LIU, CW Post – Certainly the weakest region of the tournament. It’s everyone spot to grab. We give a slight edge to Trophaum who has certainly proven in the past he is someone who knows the game.

Close second

Midwest
#3 Limestone – Best team for Trentonjoe in years at Limestone. His genius basketball IQ has been darkened by too much whisky in his water bottle.

East
#4 CSU San Bernandino – One of the most athletic team in DII Phelan. Matt certainly has the ballers to win it all. He needs a bit of luck and his shooters to deliver.

South
#3 Quincy – A pain for all teams. Quincy is another U of DC, only younger. Will the team gel come tourney time? Coach themonstars certainly knows how to prepare his team.

West
#3 Tusculum – Toughest to predict. It could be anybody’s chance but Tusculum seems like a steady team, a team that knows how to play and delivers the same result almost every night. It did have one of the toughest SOS in the division.

Cinderellas

Northeastern State, East. It starts with a tough match-up against Merrimack, but it could be a year to celebrate for that team. Well built and underranked.

Virginia Union, East. Sharrow has a shot at upsetting the first seed. That sixteen seed certainly is not a fun draw for Philadelphia.

UNC, Pembroke, South. A team filled with sophomores and freshmen. The only reason why it is not ranked higher is the youth. Garmansouth is showing off his future NT winners. Sonoma St. should plan carefully against that team.

U. of Indianapolis, West. That part of the bracket is so evenly matched, it could be Indianapolis to take. It seems their first matchup is a bit in their favor.

Final four predictions

Midwest
#1 Angelo State – Remain the favorite. They showed their incredible offense. Angelo State is the beautiful game, run, pass, share the ball and shoot.

East
#2 Mount Olive – UPSET. Colonels light up a cigar, started crying at the press conference.

South
#2 University of DC – Emy showed his will, impose his strength against the opponent. It was an ugly game.

West
#6 LIU, CW Post – UPSET. The offense was just not there losing a yawner to Seattle 58-51.

Close second

Midwest
#3 Limestone – Trenton vowed to leave his bottle by his desk and showed why he is arguably considered the top IQ in DII basketball.

East
#4 CSU San Bernandino – Easy win for Matt. Considered the new favorite to win the East.

South
#3 Quincy – UPSET. The team forgot to defend giving up 82 pts…For the first time of the season.

West
#3 Tusculum – UPSET. Tusculum had trouble scoring the ball swallowing the tough defeat to Post and coach UATTE.

Cinderellas

Northeastern State, East. Was close but not meant to be.

Virginia Union, East. Sharrow pulled the upset. He showed why his team needed to ranked higher. Philadelphia needs to go back to the drawing board.

UNC, Pembroke, South. Experience was too much for Garmansouth young prospects.

U. of Indianapolis, West. Was close but U of Indianapolis did not do it.

TRUE UPSETS
Wayne State and coach Sergei beating the undefeated Bowie State.

West Virginia Weslayan, WVUFAN beating the favorite Mount Olive.

CSU Dominguez Hills, the one seed, has to be considered the favorite to win the wide open West now.

There is a lot of parity in Phelan DII. As everyone knows, a 16 seed could win the NT.

Lol, you jinxed me, man.  It was a tough draw and though we had 6 seniors, my team wasn't THAT good.  GL to those remaining.

Midwest

Angelo St. vs Wash. Adventist : Shucky has put up a fight, won two games. Angelo St. should be too much for his team. But Wash. Adventist could pull the upset.

Metropolitan St. against New Jersey Tech. Jwinner wins a close one. Both teams are good but there is a slight edge for New Jersey.

The Crazy East

CSUSB is still alive, going against streaky USC Upstate, Matt wins it but by a close margin.

Grand Canyon against the CINDERELLA team, WVWC... Wvufan will surprise us again. It's feel good story. He upsets Grand Canyon and moves on to face CSUSB.

South

Sonoma St. vs Abilene Christian #12... Abilene is another surprising team. We did not give any credit to Sonoma St, but this team is having a perfect tournament. So it will be the end for Abilene.

UAM Monticello against U of DC .. We are keeping our prediction alive. U of DC, an easy win against an outmatche UAM Monticello, a team tha thas already overachieved.

West

CSU Dominguez Hills against Tarleton State. What a game, what a matchup. Dominguez hills is probably the best shooting team in the country at DII, it faces a stange assembled team in Tarleton State, a press with athletical prowesses to give you headaches. In the end, CSU will prevail in a close game.

Western State against Seattle : It's Western State's game. But Seattle could be another Cinderella story. Will see.

It's truly a strange NT. I feel better teams have lost and some remaining are on their way to live the Cinderella story to its fullest.

Midwest

Angelo St. won, scored like it is suppose to, will face New Jersey Tech who won a close game against pretty evenly matched Metropolitan St.
Angelo St. should win again and secure its final four spot. Still the favorite IMO.

The Crazy East

The East got a little crazier. USC Upstate behind a .592 shooting... won against CSUSB. There is nothing incredible about USC Upstate but it seems the team does everything well. It will face Grand Canyon who has been steady. It's a good run for both team, one will lose and we think it's going to be Grand Canyon.

South

Abilene wanted to win, they did. They knocked out the first seed... Still incredible! It's a fastbreak, press team, well balanced, pretty efficient. It is going against another Cinderella UAM Monticello. It knocked off U of DC, one of the favorites to win it all. U of DC defense was not up to the challenge. It had an off night. Now, who will win, it dépends but we think Abilene is going to the final four behind their speed and their press.

West

CSU Dominguez Hills beat a tough Tarleton State team. It was a good night for CSU Dominguez, Tarleton gave the game away with 22 turnovers.

Seattle is still alive. It is going against CSU... Will it prevail? I am not betting another time against Seattle. It is going to the final four!

It's a CAL CAA final four. These teams know each others. And there is a Cinderella, a true one. UAM Monticello. UAM Monticello is also the only man to man team left. The two CAL CAA teams are built the same way with press being the route they chose. Other than that, they are all about SPEED!

Grand Canyon is the fastest overall, the youngest too. They both got beat by one of our favorite CSUSB in their conference tournament, who was knocked out of the NT earlier. Grand Canyon has balanced its classes. So it's a team that can compete every year.CSU Dominguez HIlls has a solid junior class but it is not built on a 6-6 class, like most teams so more power to the owner going the distance.

As for Angelo St. it brings that heavy seniors class a lot of coaches like. So it has to still be the favorite. It's also a press type thing with a lot of speed. But the offense is crazy! Crazy!

So It's going to be Angelo St winning against Grand Canyon (what a run).

And CSU Dominguez bringing CAL CAA to the finals.

Good luck guys. Congrats on a heck of a tournament to all of you. We all hope UAM Monticello finishes this, it's a feel good story.
