Just wondering if this can be done. If so, how?

No.  Once it has been accepted by both owners it cannot be cancelled.

It can, however, be vetoed.  Or if both owners agree, you can always swap the players back.

It can also expire if one of the players involved is either already traded or dropped on the ww.
