Defensive ratings margin of error Topic

I'm trying to work with a bad defensive team, but sacrificing too much offense has been creating other problems.

The shortstop ratings SHOULD be 85 across the board - range, glove, arm strength, arm accuracy.  These are awfully hard to find in my world.

My question is - how much are you willing to give in those ratings?  At what point am I playing a guy who's really hurting me?

It's more a matter of what you can tolerate.    Open any in progress world(I used Branch Rickey).   Stats/Awards, League Leaders, SS, Fielding
