Put an offer in for an IFA who rejected the first 3. I then put in an offer for a Big League contract which I have to go 3 years at $54,500 w/ $5M bonus. The player responds with: "While I'm flattered with the long-term offer, all I'm looking for is a 1-year deal. If given the chance to prove myself, I'm sure my financial future will be a bit brighter than the long-term offer you've made. Offer me one year and I'll take it." OK here's my question. I DO NOT want to lose this guy but the only way I can offer 1 single year is on a minor league contract... correct? So he's talking about taking a 1 year MiL contract with the signing bonus or is there a way to offer a 1 year Big League contract?
