I liked one of the ideas a lot from the earlier thread.
Make a "minimum" of 10 votes. So any number of coaches can vote, no difference between 15 and 25, but once it goes under 10 you start to add computer votes. So if only 8 humans vote add in 2 computer votes.
Also I think a good way to make sure it is not a big burden is only make it top 10. As well as making sure it's only a few times a season such as Preseason, End of Non conf, End of NT
Heck besides like a user top 10 poll, you could do something like user awards too, such as coach of the year, team of the year, turnaround coach/team of the year. Heck you can have preseason awards like NT favorite and your darkhorse candidate.
Being realistic and pessimistic though with only 1 change to HD since I've been here(seasons). It doesn't matter nothing will change, even if we get every single user of HD to agree 100%. Nothing will change.
Firstly, if you say Heck one more time you're gonna be banned from this thread.
Secondly, I don't get the part about computer votes, could you please explain (how it would work and why it would be needed)?
Thirdly, I think your last sentiments really sum up why a new version of the polls are needed. Starting with your last thought, we'll never get 100% or even 75% of HD users to agree on any one thing, but presenting a concise representation about what changes are important to users can be helpful in several ways...not only as a guide post for what direction the users would like to see the game go once changes are able to be made, but highlights simple changes that can be made to help get the ball rolling. Which in my humble opinion, was the most surprising outcome of the first user polls...very shortly after their invocation, much of the 'low hanging fruit' (i.e. cosmetic changes listed in those polls) were actually updated and/or changed.
