Player Trade Nullified error? Topic

We're waiting to hear back from HBD support, but I thought I'd throw it out here to see if anyone has seen this.

(1) Trade proposed.

(2) Following some trade chats, we agree to a deal, but I want the player I'm getting to first sign the contract he'll sign with his current team.

(3) Trade proposal withdrawn.

(4) Contract offered and signed.

(5) Same trade proposed again.  (3, 4, and 5 all done within a few minutes.)

(6) Trade accepted.

(7) After the trade review period, we get this message:

Player Trade Nullified:  This is to inform you that the proposed player trade between Team A and Team B was cancelled. One or more players have signed a new Long Term Contract since the trade was accepted. TRADE FAILED.

I checked that the player had signed this contract before I accepted the trade. So I know for sure that one or more players did NOT sign a new long term contact since the trade was accepted.

Would be easy enough to just put the deal through again, but the trade was made just before the trade deadline and nullified after. So unless HBD steps in and manually completes the trade, it probably can't happen.

Anybody got anything on this?

I.was told when a player signs an extension with his current team, you have to wait a cycle before proposing and accepting a trade involving that player.

Sounds like you're screwed..

If a player involved in a trade has his contract or salary adjusted prior to the completion of the trade, the trade will be nullified. With regards to the contract or salary change of a player, it's important to note that the timing of the contract or salary change is not based on actual timestamp but on the HBD cycle. For instance, if a trade is proposed and accepted during the AM cycle but a player has his contract extended earlier but also in the AM cycle, the trade will still be nullified.

Thanks. That explains it.

I'll call that a bug. They post the exact datetime stamp of every transaction, not just the cycle. There's no reason for them not to use that when deciding to nullify a trade.
