Oppps... I support League owners and not paying extra costs... I clicked the wrong button... sorry... If we can't Transfer teams as free to new owners, then there's NO point in being or even wanting to be a League Commissioner...

I support this, as I support the commissioners I play with.  They're all working hard to make this a fun experience.

Seems  a no brainer.

I have to agree and if WIS doesn't come to its senses and stop being so greedy, it will kill the site entirely. Maybe that is their entire purpose. Fox is so greedy that WIS doesn't make enough money on the site to justify their time and minuscule energy that they would rather just flip us all the bird and let the site die than come to a logical, common sense decision to actually promote their product. I for one can promise Fox some negative publicity if this ends up being the case.

Evidently the large number of owners who have already left this site due to their ignorance of providing adequate and timely updates to the product they are selling wasn't bad enough that they now see the need to screw over the Commissioners of Progressives. They, along with the owners who create Themes, do more to keep owners on this site than anything than what WIS does.

Seroiusly, what difference is it if an owner buys a 6 pack of teams for the reduced rate and uses them himself or gives them to someone else to use?

Pleasing the customer isn't a priority here anymore!

Please feel free to forward this post to "Those at the Top"!

Rooskie is right on all counts. Free teams is sometimes all there is to entice a new progressive owner. The fact that progressives continue for many many years, and generate pretty regular income, should count for something. I am in a league that is nearing year 10. Not season 10, year 10. It started in 2006 and has been going ever since.

I understand where they are coming from, and how the system could be abused. But each case should be review individually. There is a pretty clear paper trail for everything progressive league commissioners do, and I would think it would be pretty easy to determine that there is nothing nefarious going on.

Running a progressive is a pain in the ***. Tools for progressive owners were promised many years ago and have never materialized. There was a time when some admins were playing in progressive leagues and were in direct communication with progressive league commissioners in an attempt to understand how much work running a progressive can be. That was many years ago though, and nothing came of it.

I don't think the new policy needs to be changed. It just doesn't have to be applied unilaterally. Exceptions need to be made, and giving a team to new progressive owners should be one of them.

I see both sides of the issue, however, I do not think that WIS and the people up the chain should be as concerned with this as they are with keeping the core group of players on the website happy. This is not an inexpensive hobby if you really get into it, and of course WIS should value the people who spend the most TIME AND MONEY on the site highest.

What really concerns me, is that this is possibly a precursor to taking away credits all-together (at which point the website is finished anyway). I really enjoy this site, but I wish for a few updates, and some GOOD customer service. Unfortunately we are not very valued it appears.
